Road to Gettysburg - Virtual Battlefield Challenge

Sign up to run/walk from one of four other battlefields virtually to Gettysburg - distances of 131, 220, 593, or 1058 miles. There are 21 weeks between May 21st and October 18th to accomplish your goal and it ends with the Gettysburg Festival of Races starting/ending on the Gateway Gettysburg Campus. The Gettysburg Festival of Races is the combination of four historic races in one single weekend! Come and race alongside the hallowed ground of Gettysburg battlefield.

Choose to compete in Gettysburg North-South Marathon, Gettysburg Blue-Gray Half Marathon, or Gateway 5K. And, Saturday features the Gettysburg Blue-Gray Criterium!

First Fridays - Every 1st Friday of the Month 2020

Take in special events and refreshments with approximately 45 businesses throughout Historic Gettysburg hosting special receptions, guest artists and authors, sales and later business hours. Living History Camps at the Gettysburg Heritage Center

The Gettysburg Heritage Center hosts Civil War Living History Camps most weekends, April - November. Civil War reenactors set up camp on the front lawn of the Heritage Center, and offer visitors a glimpse into life during the war. The groups perform various drills and demonstrations, and are available to answer questions from visitors. The groups vary from weekend to weekend. Free and open to the public!
