Not Bad but Not Great Either !!!

Stayed here a second time in November 2018. Everything basically the same (see previous year ago review). Nice and warm indoor swimming pool. Achilles heel is the lack of complimentary breakfast. Breakfast is served in the 1863 Restaurant inside the hotel. Prices are high - many items are a la carte - items are priced separately. A cup of lukewarm coffee and a glass of juice are each $ 3.95. Main course items are $11 for three tiny pancakes, or $14.00 for eggs benedict. So, add $ 8.00 to the main course and you are paying $ 19.00 or $ 22.00 plus tip. With three (2) people in my party, paying $ 75 or so for breakfast is almost the cost of the room. To add insult to injury, all the food was luke warm, and really not that great - servings were small. Otherwise, the hotel stay was okay. No breakfast buffet was offered because "there weren't "enough" customers staying at the hotel" according to the restaurant staff - although there was a huge convention of 500 people at least at the hotel who were getting their meals catered by the kitchen in large dining halls. Not a bad hotel overall but with their local next door competition not offering complimentary breakfast, Wyndham feels they don't have to either. Also, no microwave in the room to warm baby's milk

Good Value

I stayed here after Thanksgiving before driving home over the weekend and got a great deal on a room. I stayed here last year as well so I knew what to expect. The hotel is nicely decorated and clean. The room was fine and I was pleasantly surprised to see a small (and I do mean small - but it was adequate) fridge in the room after reading so many reviews noting the lack of refrigerators which are becoming more of a standard amenity these days. I will say the TV was pretty small but that’s really my only gripe about the room. The pool and hot tub are great by hotel standards. Both are larger than you’ll find in most places and they’re open until 11. The fitness center is decent and it’s open 24 hours. I was disappointed that the guest laundry is no longer complimentary. I wanted to do a quick load from my trip since my washer at home is still awaiting repairs and I discovered the washers and dryers are now $2 each. Even the guest guide in the room noted the laundry was complimentary so I hope they update that information. The bar is nice and they have good happy hour specials. The food looked good - a little on the pricey side. All in all, this was a good value and I’d stay here again

AWESOME

Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom clean. Was there for 3 nights for work, housekeeping always cleaned room early. Hotel staff was awesome. Was a presenter for a conference of over 300. Buffet meals were all excellent and staff did a great job keeping food stocked. Highly recommend if you are in Gettysburg

Stayed one night and will be back.

Even though from the outside it looks very typical Wyndham hotel, but inside is great with Gettysburg pictures and lobby decorated with a cannon. Rooms clean and staff polite and helpful. Only ate room service breakfast and was very good. Starbucks coffee machine in lobby as well
